As an independent software consultant, John currently spends his days developing computer software for Educate Online. With over 13 years of experience, John has led many projects from ABC’s Monday Night Football computer software game to nuclear defense systems.

Having given many lectures and seminars, John believes that the best way to promote alpacas is through educational seminars. He has developed an informational seminar that he gives free of charge at all Criative Acres open houses. He has also organized several seminars, including a genetics lecture given by Dr. Andy Merriwether and two intensive Alpaca Training Courses designed to help potential and new breeders. Additionally, John is bringing Dr. Norm Evans to Criative Acres in June 2008 for what should be a fantastic seminar.

In addition to developing a seminar series, John has served for two years on the Board of Directors for the Maryland Alpaca Breeder’s Association (MABA). During his term, John has served as both Secretary and Member-At-Large. He organized a speaker panel at the Maryland State Fair. He was also the driving force behind Maryland’s participation in National Alpaca Farm Day.

During the next year, John plans to continue developing educational seminars, as well as help organize the first ever Maryland Alpaca Breeder’s Association Alpaca Show.
