Abeja should have been named Ford. Why? Because she consistently produces Pintos!
Abeja has produced 3 pintos to 3 different sires in 4 total breedings! Her first, Golden Fleece Max Factor, is standing stud in New York.
Whiplash, born October 2005, is even better, and has excellent luster. His ¾ Bolivian, ¼ Peruvian heritage along with his exceptional color and luster almost guarantee that he will be an exceptional herdsire! Whiplash, pictured right, placed 1st at the 2007 Maryland Alpaca Show, as well as 1st at PAOBA Breeder's Showcase, amongst numerous other awards.
Abeja's third cria was CAA Baja, a beautiful light-fawn/beige patterned male. He is very independently locked, and is very lustrous. Given his patterning, and his black background (thanks to his sire, Tolkien), CAA Baja is poised to throw grey!
We were so excited about Baja's genetics, that we decided rebred Abeja to Tolkien. Wanna guess what we got this time????? You got it! ANOTHER PINTO! Born on Tax Day, we've named the little fellow CAA The Tax Man. And believe me - The Tax Man delivers! He is very tightly locked, has excellent luster, and is quite dense!
Abeja has been exposed to Tolkien, and appears to be bred, but has not yet been confirmed pregnant. She will include a free rebreeding, making this a 3-in-1 package.
