Golden Fleece Abeja Request Information
Listed at $20,000

Abeja should have been named Ford. Why? Because she consistently produces Pintos!

Abeja's first two crias were Pinto boys. Her first, Golden Fleece Max Factor, is standing stud in New York. Whiplash, born October 2005, is even better, and has excellent luster. His 3/4 Bolivian, 1/4 Peruvian heritage along with his exceptional color and luster almost guarantee that he will be an exceptional herdsire! Whiplash, pictured right, placed 1st at the 2007 Maryland Alpaca Show, as well as 1st at PAOBA Breeder's Showcase, amongst numerous other awards.

Last year, Abeja gave birth to CAA Baja, a beautiful light-fawn/beige and white vicuna-patterned male. He is very independently locked, and is very lustrous. Given his tuxedo patterning, and his black background, CAA Baja is poised to throw grey!

We're so excited about the Baja's genetics, that we've decided to rebreed Abeja to Tolkien, our true-black herdsire who's now up to 35 registered cria on the ground.

You may be wondering why we named Abeja's boy Baja? Well, our young farm hand (Jonathan - not to be confused with John) always called Abeja Baja! So, we thought we'd have a little fun with the kid and name the cria Baja! Boy was he confused! Besides, Baja is just like the restaurant chain - Baja Fresh! The little guy is a natural with the ladies, and loves to prance over to the big boys and let them know who's the boss!
